Talladega April 23, 2021-NASCAR Xfinity Racer Natalie Decker visited the Alabama Industries for the Blind (AIB) in Talladega which is a program of Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB). Natalie Decker has a super fan on their staff, Maggie, at AIB which is how the connection started! “Four years ago, when I was racing in the ARCA Series with Venturini Motorsports we visited Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind and that’s when I first met Maggie. I was so happy she wanted me to come back and visit! It is amazing to see the wonderful things the Institute and Industry offers. It is limitless on what the Deaf/Blind can do and I am truly inspired!” Natalie Decker explained.

Alabama Industries for the Blind (AIB) is located in Talladega, just down the street from the main AIDB campus. AIB is a manufacturing facility. About 75% of the people who work at AIB are blind, visually impaired or deafblind. All of the neckties worn by the US military (all branches) are sewn by workers at AIB. They also make flight kit bags for the Air Force, deck swabs for the Navy and several items for the Army. Plus lots of other things.

On Saturday, April 24, 2021 Natalie Decker’s Red Street Records number 23 NASCAR Xfinity Car, owned by Our Motorsports, will honor the AIDB on her race car. “My primary sponsors Red Street Records and N29 Capital Partners opened up two spots on my No. 23 Chevy to honor the AIDB. We want to share with all the NASCAR fans what a great place this is and all they do to give back to the military and beyond.” Natalie Decker stated.

“I want to say a big thank you to Natalie and her team for making Maggie’s dream a reality,” said AIB Executive Manager, Kyle Gregg. “Maggie and the AIB family work hard every day to turn our vision of being Deaf. Blind. Limitless. into reality. I cannot express how thankful I am for the inspiration Natalie’s career has been to the AIB team. We will all be cheering her on as she shows NASCAR just how limitless she can be!”
