Natalie Decker & NERD FOCUS support Arthritis Foundation “Strike Out Arthritis” Fundraiser Event by AOII Indiana University

NASCAR racer, Natalie Decker, born with Juvenile arthritis, an ambassador of the Arthritis Foundation and a “Champion of Yes!” has teamed up with NERD FOCUS to promote and help raise donations with the women of Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII) from Indiana University for their “Strike Out Arthritis” Annual Fundraiser on April 7, 2022.

NERD FOCUS reached out to Decker and asked her to join them in supporting the “Strike Out Arthritis” fundraiser, Decker was eager to help them “hit a home run” and wanted to contribute to the long relationship AOII has had with the Arthritis Foundation.

Decker states, “It’s been amazing working with these passionate women. Lucy Kellison, Director of Philanthropy, and Maddy Perre have helped me design a really cool t-shirt where all proceeds will go to the Arthritis Foundation. Together with NERD FOCUS we will help promote their fundraiser on our social media and on my website shop with autographed shirts. All proceeds go to Arthritis.org.

While local chapters are encouraged to support philanthropic opportunities in their communities, all chapters support AOII’s international philanthropy, which is arthritis. Dollars donated to the Arthritis Foundation support arthritis research, Juvenile Arthritis Power Packs, Juvenile Arthritis Camps and Conferences and so much more.

The women of Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII) will host “Strike Out Arthritis” as a Home-Run Derby on April 7th, 2022 from 6:00-9:30pm. Many teams of two people will compete against the clock to see how many home-runs they can hit. The winners will be rewarded after all teams have completed their time! The goal of our philanthropy event is to raise money and spread awareness for the Arthritis Foundation along with getting students and community members active. Join us for some baseball fun, plenty of food at our cook-out, and get to dunk an AOII 🙂
