(April 5, 2022 Sugar Hills, GA) Eagle River, Wisconsin’s own Natalie Decker will pilot RSS racing’s No. 28 NERD Focus Ford at NASCAR’s shortest track (.525 miles) Martinsville Speedway, VA on April 8, 2022 at 7:30pm EST. Because of the track’s small size, tight corners and unique shape, it’s described most often as the ‘paperclip’.
Decker raced five Xfinity races in 2021 with one of those being Martinsville. She had a strong run starting p26 and racing into the top fifteen with an unfortunate unscheduled late pit stop setting her back to a final finish of twenty-fifth on the lead lap.
Last year there was no qualifying, which meant drivers and teams knew their starting position prior to unloading their car. This season is back to qualifying and the Xfinity series is stacked with more cars than races allow, so qualifying is key for a driver and team to make the race.
Decker states, “We are really looking forward to getting back on the track at Martinsville! Last year’s Xfinity race goes down as my most fun race. I grew up short track racing every weekend in Wisconsin so Martinsville feels a little bit like home to me. Even though this race came together just days prior to this race, my goal is to have another strong run like last year. NERD Focus is an amazing partner who put me on the track this weekend and I am so thankful! Their ‘Think Drink’ is popular with all ages. It’s great to see college kids that drink Nerd Focus hop over and start following NASCAR. It’s so important to direct the younger age group to our sport. I also want to thank the Sieg’s for opening up their No. 28 Ford seat for me! They are a great family and I am honored to be a part of their team this weekend.”
NERD Focus is an ideal pre-workout drink designed to keep you focused and help with both mental and physical recovery. NERD is delicious and gives you benefits of HIGH ENERGY, FOCUS, and INCREASE STAMINA without the side effects of highly caffeinated drinks. https://nerdfocus.com
