(May2,2022) NASCAR racer, Natalie Decker, and her partner NERD Focus teamed up with the women of Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII) to help promote and raise donations for their “Strike Out Arthritis” annual fundraiser which was held earlier in April.
Lucy Kellison and Maddy Perre, AOII Directors of “Strike Out Arthritis” reported that the weather wasn’t favorable during their outdoor event game day; however, that didn’t stop the spirit of the college campus young adults from coming out and supporting the Arthritis Foundation. Rain ponchos and many NERD Focus cheers were on site!
Decker states, “My fans continue to amaze me! They are always so supportive of the Arthritis Foundation, along with me being an ambassador and born with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. My fans really came through and showed their love to the ‘Strike Out Arthritis’ Fundraiser. We designed T-shirts for this event and fans from all across the United States donated. We had fans from 23 different states participate. I have the best fans in the world!”
The women of AOII exceeded their fundraiser goal which was $8,000 and they raised $8,744 for the Arthritis Foundation. Dollars donated to the Arthritis Foundation support arthritis research, Juvenile Arthritis Power Packs, Juvenile Arthritis Camps and Conferences and so much more.
