RACING IS ALL IN THE FAMILY WITH NATALIE DECKER

Monroe, NC- Natalie Decker, owner of Natalie Decker Racing Late Model Team since October 2021, will be making her first start at Orange County Speedway on September 16th in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series. Decker will be competing in her 04 Cracker Jack Fury car. The number 04 dates back to her father’s race number, which holds the World Championship Title in ice oval F1 Snowmobile racing.

Victories and a strong fan base have been a part of Decker’s life and career since she first got behind the wheel of a go-kart, where her father’s 04 number was passed onto Natalie. Racing is all in the family with Natalie Decker. Natalie explains, “Racing has always been a family sport, starting with my dad and his three brothers and my grandparents, who raced everything and anything.” In 2018 Team Decker Racing of Eagle River, WI was inducted into the Snowmobile Hall of Fame and has been synonymous with snowmobile competition for five decades. Dick and Audrey Decker (Natalie’s grandparents) and their sons Steve , Mike, Allen, and Chuck (Natalie’s father) have been integral to the fabric of oval racing thanks to multiple endeavors, including: ownership and operation of a successful dealership; racing on the Ski-Doo factory Sno Pro team; a performance race shop; a snowmobile tour company; and most notably ownership of the World Championship Snowmobile Derby Track. Along the way, Team Decker earned a World Champion title; Sno-Pro Driver of the Year honors; and multiple USSA High Point Championships.

At the age of nine, Natalie Decker began her accolades in go-karts, with her father and Uncle Steve Decker. Over the past fourteen years Natalie  has won races and championships, all leading to being a part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Rev Racing Program, pole position at Daytona in ARCA, highest finishing female in NASCAR Truck series, and currently part time in NASCAR Xfinity Series.

“It is such an honor to have the iconic brand Cracker Jack support me in my racing and it’s extra special having them be a part of my late model race team. We’ve been busy getting our Fury car ready and it’s such a great feeling to walk from my house to my race shop to work with my fiancé Derek Lemke, my dad and my crew chief Travis Braden.” Decker’s crew chief Travis Braden, native of Wheeling, WV. has several super late wins as a race driver including the Winchester 400 in 2016 and Snow Ball Derby in 2019. He also has a dual degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering where his knowledge and skills have made him one of the best crew chiefs. He also works with Hendrick Motorsports on Alex Bowman’s NASCAR cup team.

Become part of this family affair and meet Natalie Decker at Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, NC on September 16, 2023.
