Highs & Lows of Racing: A Night to Remember for Natalie Decker Racing at Dells Raceway Park

Wisconsin Dells, WI – The June 7th stop at the Alive for Five Series – Trickle 99 at Dells Raceway Park delivered a full spectrum of emotion for the Natalie Decker Racing team. From the thrill of Victory Lane in the heat race to heartbreak in the feature, it was a night that captured the very essence of short track racing.

Derek Lemke, piloting the #31 Super Late Model, started the evening strong by taking home the win in his heat race, a moment of triumph that lit up the stands. But the celebration was short-lived. In the early laps of the feature, oil on the track caused a multi-car incident, ending Lemke’s night far too soon.

“It’s tough, but a bad day at the track is still a good day in my book,” said Lemke, reflecting on the crash. “We had speed, we had support, and that means everything.”

The #31 car, fielded by Natalie Decker Racing, was supported by a loyal lineup of sponsors including TurtlesBauer Welding Marshfield WIZymoxSpace Beans CoffeeHD Five, and Crankshaft Supply. The team’s fan-first culture was on full display as visitors flooded the pit area after the race.

“Our fans are the best—we had an outpour of support,” said Natalie Decker. “Seeing them come by the trailer after the wreck reminded us why we do this.”

In true Natalie Decker Racing fashion, the team continued to give back to their supporters, handing out sweet treats courtesy of Turtles and sharing Zymox products for fans’ furry companions.

Although the crash caused significant damage to the #31 machine, the team remains optimistic.

“It will take a lot of work to fix the race car,” Decker added, “but with the help of Port City Racecars, we’re hopeful we’ll be ready to go for the next one.”

The journey continues, and so does the unwavering spirit of this family-driven, sponsor-supported, fan-loved racing team.
